Medal of Honor

Biography/Citation: VMH: MILTON E. RICKETTS, LT, USN (usnamemorialhall.org)

Killed in Action, 8 May 1942.

Maj. James Baido, USA

Medical Company, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division

Killed in action, 27 Nov 1950.

LTJG Richard Seth, USN

Graduated from the United States Naval Academy in the Spring of 1949.

Died at Sea off the coast of Greece 25 Feb 1954.

CWO2 Robert James Watkins, USA

Served with Company D, 158th Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Camp Evans RVN.

Killed in action, 8 Oct 1969. Posthumously promote to Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CWO2).

Sgt. Henry Nicholas John Gunther

Last American soldier killed in World War I.

Killed on 11 Nov 1918, at 10:59 am, just one minute before the Armistice was to take effect at 11:00 am.

Maj. David Henry Wainwright Houck

Commanding Officer, 118th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron. (USAAF).

Shot down over Hong Kong and executed by the Japanese on 6 April 1945.

Pvt. Milton Aubrey Disney

113th Ambulance Corps, 29th Division, American Expeditionary Force (AEF), WWI.

Died of disease resulting from leg amputation.

Pfc. William Amrheim

Machine Gunner,14th Machine Gun Battalion, 5th Division, American Expeditionary Forces.

Killed in Action, 12 Oct 1918 near Brieulles-sur-Meuse and Bantheville.

88th Field Artillery Regiment, Philippine Scouts

Bataan Death March. POW/MIA. Lost at sea 7 Sep 1944 on the Japanese Transport Shinyo Maru.
