Born 27 Dec 1893 in Bowie, MD to Cornelius and Anna (Anderson) Disney. Died 20 Nov 1918 near Verdun, France.
Commended for bravery along with four others by his company commander for bringing a wounded soldier through enemy fire after a raid on the German lines.
Served as an ambulance driver. Reports state that Pvt. Disney had one leg amputated and that he succumbed to “disease” afterwards, possibly an infection or pneumonia. The nature of the injury to his leg that resulted in amputation is not known.
