
Born 12 Aug 1900 in Baltimore, MD to Jacob and Ida May (Tharle) Hales.
Graduate of Western High School and the Church Home and Infirmary School for Nurses in 1922.
Fluent in Chinese, she would join her new husband, Missionary Rev. Warren Seager, in Nanking, China, running a free women’s clinic for indigent women.
Served in the U.S. army Nursing Corps. during WWII, attached to the 45th General Hospital, with service in the Southern European, African, and Middle-Eastern theaters.
Awarded the European, African, and Middle-Eastern service ribbon with two bronze stars.
