Maryland’s Premier Caretaker for History and Culture

Dating to May 1842 as the ” Association of Defenders of Baltimore.” Collectors and caretakers of rolls, records, books, and other documents relating to the War of 1812.

Founded in 1892, the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 is a non-profit, non-political, women’s service organization for descendants of American patriots who rendered civil, military or naval service to our country during the years of 1784 to 1815 inclusive.

Follow historian and author Frank Jastrzembski in his journey rescuing the neglected graves of 19th-century veterans. Among numerous biographies of veteran’s past, Frank is the author of Valentine Baker’s Heroic Stand At Tashkessen 1877: A Tarnished British Soldier’s Glorious Victory (2017).
